TAIT marks World Earth Day 2026

Langthwaite Business Park litter pick

Happy staff celebrate after collecting litter from Langthwaite Business Park

Staff from Langthwaite Business Park-based TAIT Global took part in this year’s World Earth Day by giving the local environment a clear-up.

Each year, members of the team take part in World Earth Day events.

The purpose of the day is to promote global environmental protection and sustainability. Founded in 1970, it is the largest secular observance in the world, with over a billion people in more than 190 countries participating in activities such as tree planting, clean-ups and climate education.

This year staff at TAIT and from the wider Production Park community on Langthwaite Business Park came together to take part in an organised clean -up day.

It involved carrying out a litter pick, waste removal and a general tidy up of their areas on Langthwaite Business Park and the playing fields to the rear of the Health Centre.

The team rolled up their sleeves and collected an impressive 15 bags of rubbish on the day, making a visible improvement to the park environment.

TAIT – which is a worldwide supplier of touring staging equipment for live events – were assisted by Wakefield Council, who kindly provided waste bags and litter pickers. The council also collected waste bags at the end of the day.
